Rules and Terms:
1. All work shall be created solely by the artist(s) with no assistance of industrial production techniques and no imports or consignments of piecework items.
2. The artist agrees to comply with all applicable Knox County fire safety regulations regarding display space and materials. The artist agrees to comply with all Dogwood Arts schedules, restrictions, rules, etc. whether in this document or other official communications.
3. The artist agrees that the artwork on display is of the same style and quality as was represented in the artist’s original application.
4. The artist also agrees that Dogwood Arts shall have the right to record by whatever means it desires the artist and his/her work. Dogwood Arts retains all rights to use such documentation for promotional and educational materials.
5. The artist waives, releases and agrees to hold Dogwood Arts harmless from any and all liability, claims, damage, injury, etc. resulting from installation or removal.
6. If the artist utilizes Dogwood Arts staff, other artists, contract labor, or volunteers for installation or removal assistance, it is understood that such person shall not be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage to the Artist’s work.
7. Dogwood Arts will insure the artwork for the value determined and listed by the artist. Dogwood Arts insurance covers fire, theft, and accidental damages during the exhibition dates. Dogwood Arts does not cover insurance during transportation or other liability insurance.
8. Any violation of provisions in this contract or any rules or policies communicated to the artist in official correspondence, may cause the artist to be removed from the exhibition.
9. Carefully read and understand all communication from Dogwood Arts. Note deadlines, fees, requirements, and other important exhibition information.
